VOLSTEAD ARRIVES BACK IN AUSTRALIA

United States-bred stallion Volstead has arrived back in Australia for a second stud season with Haras des Trotteurs.


He has returned after standing his first northern hemisphere stud season at Dublin Valley Farm in Ohio.

Volstead, which spent his racing career in Europe, is standing for $4,500 + GST.


He is a son of Cantab Hill (1:54, $US1.4m).


Volstead’s career featured 23 wins, including the group 1 Konung Gustaf V’s Pokal as 4yo in Sweden and took his mark to 1:51.3 for earnings of $US716,000.
