Stallions make their mark at awards

Star power progeny of sires introduced to Australian breeders by Haras des Trotteurs figured prominently in Victorian Horse of the Year Awards at Melton on Monday night (May 26).

Just Believe (Orlando Vici Fra) led the way by being named the 2024 Victorian Horse of the Year for a second season in a row, as well the aged male trotter of the year.

Quaker Jet Fra was represented by aged female trotter of the year Im Ready Jet.

Volstead, which spent his first two seasons in Australia with HDT, sired 3yo male trotter of the year Derek The Jet, 3yo female trotter of the year Keayang Zahara and 2yo male trotter of the year Vytis.

LOVE YOU 6yo mare Eurostyle NZ has had back-to-back group 3 victories.

She scored in the Haras des Trotteurs Heather Williams Memorial at Addington on Friday (May 23).

She’s only raced three seasons for 11 wins.
