QUAKER JET’S GREATEST RETIRES

It’s always sad to see a great retire.

Champion trotting mare Im Ready Jet is the latest to come to the end of a racing career, following the likes of Just Believe and Queen Elida.

Im Ready Jet retires after being the flagship in Australia for French sire Quaker Jet.

She was part of Quaker Jet’s first and biggest crop of Australian foals in 2016-17.

Im Ready Jet won eight group 1s among her 29 career victories and earned $811,750, making her the richest Australian-bred trotting mare.

The Yabby Dam Farms-bred and owned Im Ready Jet will now continue the Quaker Jet story as a broodmare.

Quaker Jet has had 31 individual winners from 41 Australian-bred foals to race, including 10 this season for 15 wins.

USED To Me Fra continues to have the best winning strike rate to individual winners among Australia’s leading 10 trotting sires with 17 from 25 starters.

He also has the best strike for wins, with 17 winners having had 38 wins.
