Love You’s first pacing winner in Australia

The story of the week was undoubtedly Love You’s first pacing winner in Australia.

The champion French trotting sire had achieved the feat in New Zealand with the dual-gaited Outamyway - a winner as a trotter and pacer.

5yo gelding Parisian Band provided the Australian first at Shepparton on Friday, June 16.

He was bred out of race-winning trotting mare Le Chabanais (Ganymede) and started his career as a trotter.

Parisian Band had six starts as a trotter and the win came at his third outing s a pacer.

To add to the uniqueness of the night, Love You produced two winners with Kings Guard setting up the trotting/pacing double.

Iron Love continued Love You’s run with a first-up win at Charlton on Monday.
