Gunner provided a reminder of the strike rate of French sire Quaker Jet’s first Australian crop of foals in 2016-17.
Of the 24 foals he had, 14 of the 17 to race have been winners.
Multiple group 1 winner Im Ready Jet is the most successful with 19 wins and $400,000 in earnings.
Gunner is also among them.
His win at Menangle on Tuesday - rating a career-best 1:58.5 over 1609m – was his fourth.
Meanwhile, Strategic Stride became the latest Australian-bred individual winner for Love You.
The 4yo is in his first season of racing and his breakthrough win came at Bendigo at his ninth start.
Love You has a strike rate of close to 50 per cent in Australia this season for all-age individual winners to starts, with 16 from 33.
They have won 24 races.
