NZ-bred Queen Elida captured her third group 1 title in the Breeders Crown final for 3yo fillies at Melton on Saturday, November 20.
The Breeders Crown added to her G1 Need For Speed Princess and G1 Victorian Trotters’ Oaks earlier this season.
She has now won seven in a row for trainer Brent Lilley, taking her career standings to 11 wins in 20 starts for $163,000.
QUAKER JET 4yo Im Ready Jet also reinforced her class and status as one of Australia’s best trotting mares by taking out the group 2 Breeders Crown 4yo trotting mares’ Championship at Melton on Friday, November 20.
The Anton Golino-trained Im Ready Jet found the lead and strode away to a winning margin of 23.6m to rate 1:57.3 over 2240m.
She is the first trotter or pacer to win 2yo, 3yo and 4yo Breeders Crowns final.
QUAKER JET 3yo filly Fancy also continues to impress in NSW.
She made it five wins in a row at Menangle on Tuesday, November 16.
This gives Fancy seven career wins for trainer Blake Fitzpatrick.
In special achievement, Haras des Trotteurs produced the trifecta in the South Australian Trotters’ Derby.
My Used To Me (USED TO ME) continued on his winning way from Quick Quaker (QUAKER JET) and Lovelorn (LOVE YOU).
