HBV accolade for Used To Me

Emerging French-bred stallion Used To Me has been named the 2020 Haras des Trotteurs Victorian 2yo Trotting Sire of the Year by Harness Breeders Victoria.

The Australian-based Haras des Trotteurs roster member had a crop-to-winner strike rate of almost 21 per cent, with Dont Care the stand-out performer.

Dont Care won the group 1 Vicbred Super Series 2yo trotting colts/geldings final at Melton after finishing a close second in the group 1 Breeders Crown final.

Bred by Yabby Dam Farms and trained by Kate Hargreaves, Dont Care finished the season with five wins, a second and third from 12 starts for $87,855 in stakes.

Dont Care is from Used To Me’s third crop.

Used To Me (Nuage de Lait Fra-North Lane Fra) had 10 two-year-olds race last season, for five winners:

+ Dont Care - 5 wins

+ My Used To Me – 4 wins

+ She Sailz – 3 wins (including group 3 Vicbred Super Series 2yo Silver Trot)

+ Champagne Charley -1

+ Surprise To Me – 1
