All-time great French stallion LOVE YOU has sired his first Australian-bred group 1 winner.
Bred by Yabby Dam Farms, CENTRAL OTAGO landed his first career win in the group 1 VICBRED PLATINUM HOME GROWN CLASSIC final for 3yo colts and geldings at Melton on Saturday. March 20.
The colt led home a quinella for Love You, with Sweet On You second.
Central Otago rated 1:58.8 for 1720m – leading and run his last 400m in 28.1 seconds and 800m in 57.7.
He is out of champion race mare Sumthingaboutmaori and his fifth winning foal.
Love Yoiu is a longstanding membver of Haras des Trotteurs’ Australasian stallion roster.
