French stallion Bold Eagle Fra is an icon of European trotting. He was stunning on the track.
The son of the great Ready Cash Fra and Love You mare Reethi Rah Jet took all before him as the winner of 46 races for earnings of $5.8m.
Bold Eagle has gone on to leave his mark as a sire in Europe.
In his latest achievement, Bold Eagle has opened his winning account in the Southern Hemisphere with his first starter.
2yo colt Kyvalley Ray NZ provided him with his first winner Downunder at Maryborough on Wednesday, April 2.
Kyvalley Ray led on debut and rated 2:1.6 for 1690m, with his his last 800m in 59.2.
The colt was offered by Bev Williamson at the 2024 New Zealand Bloodstock National Yearling Sale at Christchurch and sold to Victorian-based Jim Connelly-Kyvalley Racing operation for $100,000.
He is trained by Brent Lilley and was driven by champion reinsman Chris Alford.
Bold Eagle has been made available to Australasian breeders by Australian-based Haras des Trotteurs - his first post-racing career season at stud. Available in 2025 in New Zealand and Australia.
