Always Ready Heads north to Queensland

Two-time group 1 winner Always Ready will will stand in Queensland this year.

He he will be based at Somerset Farm. This is part of long-standing efforts by Yabby Dam Farms & Haras des Trotteurs to expand the trotting gait in the northern state.

A son of champion French trotter Ready Cash, Always Ready has had limited opportunities in the breeding barn.

His oldest offspring are two-year-olds, but he is yet to have a starter.

In addition to having an elite male pedigree, Always Ready also has a Speedy Crown US (a US Trotting Hall of Fame member) cross in his paternal line.

Always Ready was an outstanding juvenile.

He was a four-time winner as a two-year-old, winning the Group 1 Vicbred Super Series title and Group 2 Tatlow Stakes, and being named the Australian 2yo trotting colt/gelding of the year.

Injury forced him to miss his entire three-year-old season, but when he returned he saluted 11 times as a four-year-old.

He took out the Group 1 Vicbred Super Series final and was awarded the Australian 4yo trotting entire/gelding of the year.

Always Ready finished his career with 16 wins in 52 starts for earnings of $306,360.
