ALL IN A NAME

Have to love the name as well as the run.

LOVE YOU four-year-old EXCUSE MY FRENCH made the perfect start to his racing career with a win on debut at Ashburton on Wednesday, December 23.

He tracked through quickly from the second row to settle third on the peg before striding to the lead with 1700m.

And that is where stayed, winning by 1.5 lengths in a mile rate of 2:5 from the stand.

The four-year-old gelding is out of unraced Sundon mare Swyncombe, which has left three other winners, including Love You mare Lotalov (9 wins).

Excuse My French was bred by JP Versteeg and is raced by SM Smith, TD Bagrie and Avenue Bloodstock Syndicate.

LOVE N THE PORT has been another winner for Love You in NZ.

The three-year-old gelding scored at Winton on Saturday, December 19.

The Phil Williamson-trained Love N The Port now two wins and a second in three starts since debuting in July.

This was his first start since July 12.

Love N The Port was bred and is raced by KP Ussher and SE White.
