Young New Zealand trotter LEAF STRIDE remains unbeaten.The LOVE YOU three-year-old colt made it two wins in the HARAS DES TROTTEURS SIRES’ STAKES PRELUDE, 1980m, at Addington on Friday night.

Sent out as the second elect, the Phil Williamson-trained Leaf Stride took the sit on the back of favourite Bitamuscle.

Then in a grinding finish the flashy chestnut worked through in the sprint lane to gran the lead and then hold out Son Of Patrick by a half head in a blanket finish. Leaf Stride was bred by MA Caig and is raced by the E&M Stride Corporation.

He had won on debut at Addington on August 28 and as Williamson stated pre-race this was a considerable step up foe him.

He still described him as a “work in progress”.

Leaf Stride was the second leg of a double for Love You.

WANNA PLAY WITH ME made it two wins on end with a third win in six career starts.

The three-year-old filly was bred by TG Casey and is raced by TG Casey, K Marriott and PT Ryder.
