CALLMETHEBREEZE

TRIXTON x GILLY LB , 2018

A son of Trixton, Callmethebreeze retires as a multiple Group 1 winner in both Europe and Australia, with 18 career wins and earnings of $1.777 million.

The French-bred seven-year-old was purchased by Haras des Trotteurs principal Pat Driscoll in 2023, with the plan to race him before standing him at stud.

During his Australian campaign, Callmethebreeze won six of 11 starts, beating some of Australasia’s best trotters. His major victories include the 2024 Group 1 Great Southern Star at Melton and the 2024 Group 1 Hammerhead Mile at Menangle. He recorded his quickest Australian time of 1:53.1 in the Great Southern Star final.

Callmethebreeze had memorable battles with the legendary Just Believe, finishing second to him in his Australian debut at the Group 2 Knight Pistol and defeating him in the Great Southern Star final. He also placed a close second in New Zealand’s inaugural TAB Trot at Cambridge.

Showing versatility, Callmethebreeze won the Group 3 Kilmore Trotters Cup (3150m) coming off a 30-metre handicap, sitting parked the trip to defeat Acree Phoenix by 10 metres. His racing career began in Italy, where he won the prestigious Group 1 Gran Premio Orsi Mangelli for three-year-olds.
